CANCER CARE

  • I specialize in working with people with cancer by using shiatsu/acupressure and wellness counseling as supportive therapies during and after their cancer treatment.  My treatments help ease and manage the many side-effects/symptoms of both cancer and its treatment (pain, anxiety, depression, nausea, fatigue and weakness, neuropathy, impaired immunity, etc).  Shiatsu/acupressure treatments are also extremely helpful for rebuilding health and function after treatment for cancer.  In addition, I offer a variety of workshops and programs based on the holistic, Chinese Medicine perspective on cancer and caring for the cancer patient. 
  • I have been employed by the Joan Karnell Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital (University of Pennsylvania Health System) since 2001.
  • I provide shiatsu and acupressure therapy, workshops, and educational programs to cancer patients and their families/caregivers, and the cancer center staff.
  • I see patients of the Joan Karnell Cancer Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The center contracts for my services and treatments are offered at no charge to the patients or their insurance company.

FIBROMYALGIA CARE

  • I specialize in working with people with fibromyalgia.  I am educated in the Chinese Medicine perspective of fibromyalgia and use shiatsu/acupressure and wellness counseling to help ease and manage the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
  • I also occasionally offer workshops and educational programs about the Chinese Medicine perspective of fibromyalgia.  Please contact me if you are interested in these programs or would like to know the details of upcoming workshops/programs.
